Jablanc Interiors was founded by Darren Chua and Mei Yee, a dynamic duo with a shared passion for interior design. With a combined experience of over 14 years in the industry, Darren and Mei Yee have honed their expertise working with renowned firms in Singapore – RSP Architects and Distinct Identity.
Their journey together extends beyond design; after being in a relationship for 10 years, they tied the knot in 2020 and decided to return to Malaysia to establish their own brand – Jablanc Interiors.
Our design philosophy blends creativity with practicality, ensuring that every project is a seamless fusion of aesthetics and functionality.

ABOUT OUR CEO & FOUNDER
Founded in 2019, Jablanc Interiors is the creative partnership of Kuay Mei Yee and Darren Chua, a husband-and-wife team with complementary strengths in residential and commercial design.
Each project tells a different story by the client’s own interests and lifestyle. They practice more sophisticated approach to communicate with their clients through storyboard, to capture the mood and essence of every client’s background. Through the storyboard, they can capture creativity, functionality and unique design plan to reform new life to every project.
Darren Chua
Co-Founder &
Commercial Design Specialist
Darren brings a strong background in commercial interior design, having worked for 5 years with RSP Singapore, where he was involved in projects ranging from zoos and offices to toilets, banks, and shopping malls. Known for his meticulous attention to detail drawings and technical execution, Darren later spent 3 years in an interior firm in Selangor, where he expanded his skills in custom furniture design, including sofas and bedframes. His commercial expertise complements the firm’s residential focus, allowing Jablanc Interiors to offer full-spectrum design services.
Kuay Mei Yee
Co-Founder &
Lead Residential Designer
With over a decade of experience in interior design, Kuay Mei Yee is the founder and lead designer of Jablanc Interiors, established in 2019. Her career began in 2013, and since then, she has built a reputation for creating timeless, practical, and functional residential spaces.
Originally based in Singapore for 7 years, Mei Yee now operates from Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, where she has spent the last 5 years bringing thoughtful, detail-driven design to homes across Malaysia and beyond.
Specialising in residential interiors, her work is defined by a balance of elegance and everyday livability — ensuring each design not only looks beautiful but works seamlessly for the people who live in it.
